The Movement for the People Fellows Program

What moves many yoga instructors to teach is the opportunity to bring the practice to the individuals and communities who might benefit the most. If the only way to do this, however, is by volunteering, the idea can become challenging.

For many people, unpaid physical, intellectual, or emotional labor is already an unyielding hallmark of life. The Movement for the People Fellows Program seeks to ensure that helping deliver yoga to the people doesn’t have to be an uncompensated proposition.

Movement Fellows — Registered Yoga Teachers with demonstrated commitments to a range of community building and justice movements — guide participants in mindful movement and receive stipends that recognize their skill and dedication.
