Homero E. del Pino’s interests include the impact of family relationships on the health outcomes of sexual minority men of color across the life span. He has worked with health departments and community-based organizations at the national level and with the CDC before starting his research career in public health.
Homero identifies as a Buddhist and is committed to the practice of loving-kindness meditation and supporting all practices that promote peace. He is a longstanding member of the International Buddhist Meditation Center in Los Angeles, enjoys 10-day silent meditation retreats, and is eager to share in a collective journey for liberation.
He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Cornell University and a doctorate in philosophy and an M.S. in clinical research from UCLA.
